Perceptive Research

A research, marketing, and customer experience agency.

Perceptive Research offers services that help businesses better understand and reach their customers. I worked with Perceptive Research on two projects.

Perceptive Insight—Perceptive's intranet.

The first project was internal: I built a custom intranet called Perceptive Insight. It helped staff share knowledge, collaborate on projects, and keep up to date with happenings around the office. It also had tools for managing employee performance and reporting on key organisational metrics.

The second project was customer-facing. Perceptive ran a quarterly country-wide attitudinal survey called Attitude New Zealand. Rather than writing a report that no one would read, we instead decided to create an interactive dashboard. Subscribers could log on and explore visualisations of the results on their browser.

I designed and developed a custom platform with content management, subscriptions and payments, back-end reporting, and integration with Flash-based data visualisation applets on the front end (I know, but in my defense: it was 2009 and it worked).

The both of these projects were web-based with .NET and Microsoft SQL Server powering the back-end.
